To determine

Input unit:

All data, information or computer programs are received from input devices. Input units are responsible for sending the data to different locations where it will be processed.

Therefore, the logical unit of the computer that receives information from outside the computer for use by the computer is the “ input unit”.

Programming:

Certain sets of codes are written to form a program that will be responsible for performing a task.

Therefore, the process of instructing the computer to solve a problem is called “ programming”.

Assembly language:

Machine language is slow and difficult to understand, that’s why assembly language was introduced. Assembly language uses English-like abbreviations, which makes it easier to understand.

Therefore, “ Assembly language” is a type of computer language that uses English-like abbreviations for machine-language instructions.

Explanation

Output unit:

One part of logical unit is responsible for shipping the processed data from the processing section of the computer to the output devices, so that it’s available for the users or other devices.

Therefore, “ Output unit” is a logical unit of the computer that sends information which has already been processed by the computer to various devices so that it may be used outside the computer.

Memory Unit:

Memory unit holds the data that is sent from input device for faster processing, it holds on to that data until the output device needs it.
Secondary storage unit is responsible for holding data for a longer period of time as compared to memory unit. In this unit, data remains there itself even after computer power is turned off. So, Secondary storage unit is for long term usage.

Therefore, “ Memory unit” and “ Secondary storage unit” are logical units of the computer that retain information.

Arithmetic logic unit:

All calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication etc. are performed by Arithmetic logic unit (ALU). It is even responsible for taking decisions inside a computer system.

Therefore, “ Arithmetic logic unit” is a logical unit of the computer that performs calculations.

Arithmetic logic unit:

Arithmetic logic unit is even responsible for taking decisions inside a computer system such as whether any two files are equal or not by comparing.

Therefore, “ Arithmetic logic unit” is a logical unit of the computer that makes logical decisions.

High-level:

There are basically 3 levels of languages, among which high-level language is the most user-friendly as it can easily be understood by the programmers. Programming with high-level languages make easier for programmers to provide efficient program as they can be able to understand the terminology.

Therefore, “ High-level” languages are most convenient to the programmer for writing programs quickly and easily.

Machine language:

Machine language is also known as low-level language. It is represented by two integers 0 and 1. A computer can understand only 0 and 1. It performs all its calculations based on the data that is formed by these two integers 0 and 1.

Therefore, the only language a computer can directly understand is that computer’s “ Machine language”.

Central Processing Unit (CPU):

CPU is considered as an administrative unit for a computer. It tells the input unit when information should be read into the memory and sent for processing by ALU.

Therefore, “ Central Processing Unit (CPU)” is a logical unit of the computer that coordinates the activities of all the other logical units.
